The bark is becoming much more developed. All areas have solid background layers of color that have been blended with a brush.
In addition, some areas have been gone back into with more minute detail. (Click on thumbnail for enlargement).
Of course I have always loved your artwork, especially your colored pencils, and I find the detail and resulting colors to be beautiful. I don’t know how you have the patience, as well as the eye to create such detail, and so realistically.
Maybe you should now branch out to do gross animals, such as banana slugs, earwigs, and sea cucumbers–just a thought.

Mick, you zeroed in on my phobias. . .hmm, I don’t think I could do slugs or sea cucumbers. Whenever I’ve gone diving and the dive master starts passing around a sea cucumber, I head to the back of the pack! LOL.
