Catbird on nest drawing continued
Almost half-way done with the drawing. . . I’m getting so excited about moving on to a new quadrant.

I came across this quote yesterday while at the Museum of Science in Boston which I found interesting:
“It should not be hard for you to stop sometimes and look into the stains of walls, or ashes of fire, or clouds, or mud or like place in which. . . you may find really marvelous ideas” – Leonardo DaVinci
Here are two more days of work on this section of the drawing. The interior of the nest is almost complete now. With the changing seasons and the sun going down so early, I have realized that I need to take a work stage photograph before 3 in the afternoon if I want to avoid the pinkish tinge that shows up in the second thumbnail.

I am very excited to be moving on to working on quadrant two! Now the drawing will really begin to take shape. Today’s work is posted at right. (Click on thumbnail for enlargements).
Here is a photograph of me at the Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Environmental Educational Center in Bristol, RI, after hanging the show. Most, but not all, of the work on display is visible on these two walls. The show is up from now until the 29th of December, so I hope that if you live close by you will be able to visit and see it for yourself!
My friend Jan Reiss accompanied me today to Bristol, Rhode Island, driving in the remnants of Tropical Storm Noel, to hang my show at the Audubon Society of Rhode Island’s Environmental Educational Center. Above is a photograph of me taken after we completed hanging the show. The opening is tomorrow, and I hope to be able to take some more photographs to post.
