I am posting a photograph of the new piece I’ve started, and I’m going to let this series unfold a little differently. I’ll be posting stages of the work about once a week, and not including much commentary. I welcome any comments, questions, or feedback on the drawing. This photograph is, unfortunately, not the best quality. Thank you!
I hope you will take some time to check out the new page at top right entitled: Guest Writer Lynda Schumacher. Lynda has written a wonderful page about her artwork, and four of her pencil and colored pencil drawings are featured. She is a very talented visual artist, and I’m so excited to have her as a guest on my blog.
I will be posting a photograph of my new piece tomorrow – so stay tuned!
I’m giving a lot of thought as to what to proceed with, and have been photographing raptors and owls at a nearby Audubon Sanctuary as well as photographing down at RockRidge Pond, near my house.
I am very excited to have Lynda Schumacher, a talented artist from Michigan, agree to be a guest writer on my blog. Lynda creates sensitive and detailed portraits focusing on Cowhands and Native Americans. We will be posting something soon with some of her artwork, so please check back.
I am very excited to be able to post a photograph of the completed Catbird building it’s nest drawing. The finished size is 18″ x 22″. It’s been a long time since I have spent more than three months on one piece of work and I’m very pleased with the results.
The drawing is almost finished. Feel free to leave a comment. (Click on photo image and then click on next image for best view).
This is actually two days of work, as yesterday’s post photograph was taken in the morning, and this was taken at the end of the day today.
The drawing is coming to a close. I am feeling so compelled to work on it everyday and push it to completion.
Here are a couple more days of work to post. I am really loving watching this nest, and subsequently, drawing, pull together!
I am so excited to be working on the final quadrant. With every development the drawing starts to pull together a little more, and I can anticipate the finished drawing. (Click on thumbnail, and then on next image for best view).
