Thanks Kathy! You really ought to try this combination - I think you'd like it. Has your life settled down now that your daughter's graduation festivities are past?

Deb, this is another stunning piece! I love your choice of colors. They're so, well, natural! I think the combination of the colored pencils, Graphatints and background paper seems to lend itself to nature art. I'll have to try this mixture myself. Nice job.

Well Lynda, that's interesting. I think you also are basically a lover of stones. ;) Thanks for elaborating!

WELL, I thought you'd never ask!..... I think I mentioned in a previous post that I love your use of color here: the warm tones in some of the stones, against the cool values of others as well as the glass vase. And Holly is so right: you have the ability to bring beauty and interest to the ordinary (not that it isn't always there - but you have a simple yet engaging sense of what makes up a good composition). Your drawings look as if they were done by a gentle hand, and that lends itself well to your subject matter and to conveying the sense of beauty that you do.

Thanks Holly! I think working from life gives more interest and depth to the light and shadows. I'm looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta.

Lynda, you told me before how much you like this piece. What is it about it that appeals to you so much? I'm curious!

Extremely realistic, Debbi! I also like the light and shadows. You really bring interest to such ordinary objects!
