Fault Line

I’ve almost finished this drawing of rocks which I have entitled “Fault Line”. As is usually the case with my posts, there are areas that aren’t complete and need more development and tweaking – the two red rocks, the white rock and the broken granite rock.
I’ve already developed my next idea for this rock series and am eager to move along, so I hope to finish this drawing tomorrow.
Am liking the red and blue tones in this one Debbi, and my goodness………you have such a delicate hand! I’m really noticing it in the shadows in this piece. And I’m with you: I am so eager to move along also, and will be putting my next still life together tomorrow………..I know what I want; its just a matter of tweaking the composition.

Beautiful! such rich colors. I love the red rock. What is the size of the drawing?

I’m glad to hear you like the red rock. I was thinking it stuck out a little bit too much? But I’ve balanced it all now, and it’s pretty much done. The drawing is a. 9 x 12 inches.

You may have a delicate touch with the pencils, but your rocks hold plenty of weight and volume! Beautiful rendering.
